Acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam is set to begin work on his next project, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi, marking his first collaboration with both actors. After the disappointing result of Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan, the director has decided not to take a long break and has quickly moved on to this new venture.
In recent days, speculation was rife that Mani Ratnam might opt for a younger composer like Sai Abhyankar instead of his long-time collaborator A. R. Rahman. The rumors sparked widespread discussion, given the iconic duo’s three-decade-long association.
Putting all speculation to rest, Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies officially announced that AR Rahman will compose the music, while Sony Music India has secured the audio rights.
With expectations riding high, Mani Ratnam will be keen to deliver a strong comeback with this film.
