‘Khaidi’ was a turning point in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s career. The 1983 movie was the film that made him a star. Since then the tag of ‘Khaidi’ has stuck to Chiru. In 1988, he also did a film called ‘Khaidi No.786’ which also beacame a big hit.
Thirty years later, he will be seen in similar role – a prisoner. In his current movie being directed by V V Vinayak, Chiranjeevi will be seen in two roles – a thief and crusader. The film’ story opens with the crusader serving jail term. So now Vinayak is filming those sequences involving Chiru. Interestingly, he made Chiru wear the dresses with the number 150 since the film is 150th movie in megastar’s career.
So in the film, Chiru will be appearing as prisoner number 150. The movie is remake of Tamil super hit, ‘Kaththi’. The jail set has been created by Padma Shri Tota Tharani.
