While Mrunal Thakur has found notable success in the Telugu film industry, her Bollywood journey continues to face setbacks. Since 2019, she hasn’t delivered a single box office hit in Hindi cinema.
Her latest release, Son of Sardaar 2, co-starring Ajay Devgn, has turned out to be yet another disappointment. Despite high expectations, the film has received poor reviews from critics and was rejected by audiences, managing to collect just over Rs 26 crore in India. This is a weak performance for a big-ticket sequel.
This marks Mrunal’s fifth consecutive flop in Bollywood.
In contrast, her Telugu outings have fared significantly better, earning her acclaim and popularity down South.
With three more Hindi films lined up for release, it remains to be seen whether Mrunal can reverse her fortunes in her home industry.
