A Nampally court in Hyderabad on Monday commenced proceedings in the criminal complaint filed by Akkineni Nagarjuna against Telangana minister Konda Surekha. The court requested the documentation of Nagarjuna’s statement in this matter.
Nagarjuna stated in his filing that the minister’s remarks on him, his family, and his son Naga Chaitanya’s divorce were distressing and tarnished his reputation.
Nagarjuna stated in his affidavit that the minister’s words were made with malicious intent and political motivation.
The case was postponed to Tuesday.
Minister Konda Surekha alleged that former minister KTR was responsible for the divorce of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, and she also made several controversial remarks that astonished many. Consequently, Nagarjuna’s family resolved to pursue legal action against the minister for defaming their character.
