Nani to play late N T Rama Rao?

Nandamuri Balakrishna essaying the role of NTR in the biopic is old news. Sample this…Nani will also act as NTR. Yes you read it right!

But the film will be Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Mahanati’, a biopic on late actress Savitri. As per our sources, the makers of ‘Mahanati’ have approached Nani to do the role of N T Rama Rao, with whom Savitiri had acted in many hit films including ‘Devatha’, ‘Gundamma Katha’, ‘Appu Chesi Pappukudu’, etc.

The makers wanted authentic look of NTR and had initially approached NTR Jr for this role but Young Tiger declined to essay the role of his grandfather. Now they are said to have approached Nani. The movie’s director Nag Ashwin is close friend of Nani and Nag Ashwin’s debut film ‘Evade Subramanyam’ also starred Nani.

It has to be seen what would be Nani’s reaction. On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya will be essaying the role of ANR. We will have to wait and see if Nani will be game to do this iconic role.
