Is Nayanthara the highest-paid actress in South India?

Has Nayanthara crossed all the leading women of South Indian in terms of popularity as well as in getting remuneration? If reports from Kollywood are to be believed, she is now charging Rs 5 crore for a film. This is a record for sure.
 
No actress in the South Indian film industry took home a salary of Rs 5 Cr per movie until now. The highest amount an actress received was Rs 4 Cr. It was Anushka Shetty who got for her role in ‘Bahubali 2’. But Anushka also got an additional bonus after the high business. 
 
Nayanthara has now set a new record of charging Rs 5 Cr. She has big movies in her kitty both in Tamil and Telugu languages. She is currently part of high-profile movies such as Vijay’s ‘Bigil’ and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’.
 
Nayanthara has already won the tag of Lady Superstar in the Tamil film industry as she single-handedly takes a movie to the winning post. She has been doing heroine-centric films in Kollywood.
