Need good roles for actresses in 40s: Bhumika

Bhumika Chawla is making a steady comeback in films. After ‘MCA’, she will be prominently seen in ‘U Turn’ (special appearance). In her latest interview, the ‘Kushi’ actress says that married actresses should get good roles.

“Most married actresses are relegated to aunty, sister or ‘Vadina’ roles. But 40 is not the end of the road. Even in her 40s, a woman can look beautiful and hot,” she says.

She gives the example of Malaika Arora. “The Hindi actress is 44 and yet she is maintaining a perfect figure. Writers should pen nice roles for 40 plus women, too. Vidya Balan is 42. It’s not like she is a perfect figure. But she is doing wonderful movies and is also winning awards. It’s important for heroines to maintain fitness,” Bhumika says.
