Nomination rejected, Vishal says 'Mockery Of Democracy'

More twists in Vishal’s nomination episode were seen on Wednesday than in his recently released ‘Detective’. After much drama and many turns, election officials rejected his nomination papers late in the night. Officials said his nomination papers only had valid signatures of eight proposers, not the mandatory ten.

“I’d challenge this legally. This is mockery of democracy?” said Vishal. He further posted on Twitter: ” Democracy at its lowest low !! Disheartening to hear that the nomination made by me was initially accepted & later when I left, has been announced as invalid. #PoliticalGame”. Now his hopes of contesting the RK Nagar by-election in Chennai have ended.
