This Friday, the Telugu states witnessed the political thriller’s strong performance at the ticket counters. A distributor share of Rs. 4.60 Cr tells its own story. The film’s theatrical rights for AP and TS are valued at Rs. 18 Cr.
Nizam has contributed Rs. 1.95 Cr, which is big. Ceded has given another Rs. 0.65 Cr. Here are the figures reported from other territories. Uttarandhra (Rs. 0.51 Cr), Guntur (Rs. 0.42 Cr), East Godavari (Rs. 0.34 Cr), West Godavari (Rs. 0.23 Cr), Krishna (Rs. 0.30 Cr), and Nellore (Rs. 0.20 Cr) have thrown up very good figures.
In Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where VD is very popular thanks to his previous two films, the political thriller has made Rs. 0.60 Cr and Rs. 1.10 Cr, respectively. The rest of India (other than the four states mentioned) have given Rs. 0.50 Cr. In Overseas, the share stands at Rs. 0.70 Cr (including that from premieres).
This brings the total share to Rs. 7.10 Cr.
