Pawan Kalyan to get Rs 60 Cr for 'Pink' remake?

Pawan Kalyan’s name has been heard in the context of the Telugu remake of ‘Pink’ since long time. It is now pretty much concluded that the Jana Sena leader’s comeback is a done deal. He may start the shoot for the film shortly. Powerstar will be seen in the role excelled previously by Amitabh Bachchan (Pink) and Ajith (Nerkonda Paarvai).

Our sources say that the producer Dil Raju is ready to pay Pawan something like Rs 60 Cr as the remuneration. Rs 50 crore as paycheck and some percentage in the overall business. It will come close to Rs 60 crore.

This is astronomical for two reasons. 1. Never has any other Telugu star received this much for a movie, barring perhaps Prabhas for ‘Saaho’. 2. The remuneration is extremely high for the dates that will be required of Pawan. His is not going to be a full-fledged character in the movie. All, he needs to dole out 30 days for the movie.

The record amount of Rs 60 Cr, thus, should make everyone sit up and take notice!

The producers are ready to pay this much for two reasons.  1. Production costs are expected to be less on this courtroom drama.  2. The rest of the cast members will be non-star faces. So, the costs will be low. 

The untitled ‘Pink’ Remake is being directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju. It will have Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla and Anjali as the leading women. Thaman will provide the music. The film is expected to be wrapped up in three months.
