Sikranth Addala has previously been noted for his family-oriented dramas. With “Narappa,” he shifted gears. “Peddha Kapu-1”, the latest one from him, tells a story of caste conflict. The trailer for “Peddha Kapu-1” is now available.
The film is set in a village where the dominant caste groups suppress other castes and story centers on a commoner who raises his voice against the oppressors. Virat Karrna, a newcomer, plays the commoner.
The film’s director, Srikanth Addala, also has played a negative role. Caste clashes and one person rising up against the oppressor are nothing new, but Addala seems to have presented the story in a particularly ferocious and violent manner.
Pragathi Srivastava played Virat’s leading lady.
Miryala Ravinder Reddy of “Akhanda” produces the film, and the starring hero is also his relative.
