Pindam team provides insight into the production

Sriram and Kushee Ravi starrer “Pindam” is a horror thriller. Directed by newcomer Saikiran Daida, the thriller is produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati of Kalaahi Media. Th creators shared fascinating insights into its creation with audiences.

“I was inspired to write this story after hearing about a gruesome incident from my grandmother, and I felt the horror genre was the best way to interpret it on screen. With the passage of time, the script began to take shape. I and Kavi Siddartha made certain that there is a scary block every 10 minutes while remaining true to the genre. The screenplay evolved naturally,” said director Saikiran.

“Pindam was one of the most enjoyable sets I’ve ever worked on. The director was very clear about his intentions and made us feel at ease. Typically, filmmakers dilute the horror genre with unnecessary commercial elements and songs, but he stuck to the story. We were all determined to make a film that will truly frighten audiences. There was one terrifying incident in which Easwari Rao garu would have almost lost her eye. The film will keep audiences engaged in the story and provide many surprises,” Sriram mentioned.

“I was really excited about the idea of working for a horror film. I play a pregnant woman in my segment set in the 90s and I had to put on weight to look my part. For a change, I could forget my diet, eat well and be healthy while I came to the set. I had to look like a woman from a different decade who’s slightly plump. The ambience of the set was also scary and it helped me get into the mood of the film,” Kushee Ravi revealed on her preparation for her role.
