Reports of a 7.6-magnitude earthquake off Japan’s northern coast sent shockwaves among fans of Prabhas. The tremor triggered tsunami warnings near Hokkaido and Aomori. With Prabhas currently in Japan for promotions of “Baahubali: The Epic,” many immediately feared for his safety.
The actor had been attending promotional events and meeting fans ahead of the film’s Japanese release on December 12. Given the uncertainty, supporters flooded social media asking whether he was okay.
Stepping in to calm anxieties, director Maruthi revealed that he personally spoke with Prabhas. According to him, Prabhas is completely safe. And importantly, he is not in Tokyo currently.
Maruthi’s reassurance brought much-needed relief to thousands of fans awaiting confirmation.
