Prithviraj Sukumaran is one of the leading stars of the Malayalam film industry. Among the new-generation actors, he enjoys superstar status. Despite his strong standing in Malayalam cinema, he continues to take up impactful villain and special roles in Telugu films.
He made his Telugu debut with Salaar starring Prabhas, and is set to reprise his role in the sequel, which is expected to go on floors next year. At the same time, he is playing the main antagonist in S. S. Rajamouli’s globe-trotting adventure “Varanasi”.
He has already wrapped up key portions of his shoot and even participated in promotional interactions with Hollywood media.
Now, fresh buzz suggests that Prithviraj has signed yet another Telugu project. Reports indicate that he is in talks to play a crucial role in Nani’s “Bloody Romeo”, directed by Sujeeth of “OG” fame. While discussions are said to be ongoing and agreements are yet to be finalized, sources say he is likely to come on board.
With Telugu films enjoying massive pan-Indian releases and producers offering substantial paychecks to Malayalam stars like Mohanlal and Fahadh Faasil, it is no surprise that actors like Prithviraj are increasingly taking up prominent roles in Tollywood projects.
