Director Puri Jagannadh on Tuesday appeared before the officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Hyderabad in connection with a money-laundering probe linked to a 2017 drug case. Puri Jagannadh had submitted his banking transactions from the 2015 financial year to date.
The ED officials questioned him for 10 hours.
ED officials have earlier sent notices to 12 film personalities for questioning. Puri Jagannadh is the first one to appear before them.
Puri Jagannadh provided all the documents the officials asked for. He has given the details of all the various accounts he holds in his name.
On the work front, Puri Jagannadh is currently directing ‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda. The boxing drama will be wrapped up soon. The film will be his first pan-Indian project. It also features Ananya Panday as the heroine.
