Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara crashes on first Monday

Ravi Teja’s latest outing “Mass Jathara” had a disappointing opening weekend, collecting just around Rs 11 crore gross worldwide. The makers had pinned hopes on the film holding steady during the weekdays, given its Saturday release. But those hopes have quickly faded.

On the crucial first Monday, which often determines a film’s box-office fate, “Mass Jathara” saw a sharp drop, managing to collect just under Rs 1 crore. For a Ravi Teja starrer, such numbers signal a worrying trend.

With such low weekday figures, the verdict is now clear: “Mass Jathara” is heading toward a disastrous outcome at the box office.

Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, the film was produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner. It starred Sreeleela as the female lead. Despite the same pair delivering the blockbuster “Dhamaka” earlier, their second collaboration failed to attract audiences this time around.
