Renu Desai, known for her work as an animal rights advocate, has spoken out amid rising public outrage over recent stray dog attacks on children in Hyderabad.
Addressing the issue, she questioned why stray dogs are being singled out when other threats such as road accidents, mosquito-borne diseases, and civic failures account for far more casualties each year.
Referring to incidents reported in areas like Amberpet and Attapur, Renu appealed for humane and practical solutions instead of emotional calls for mass culling. She urged citizens to share information about aggressive or problematic dogs so that animal welfare organizations can step in for rescue, rehabilitation, or adoption.
Her comments came shortly after a Supreme Court directive addressing the presence of stray dogs in public spaces.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Renu Desai is currently acting in an upcoming Telugu film, where she will be seen in the role of a mother-in-law.
