As the excitement builds for the grand release of “Mirai” on September 12, lead actress Ritika Nayak shared her experiences and insights about the film at a press conference. Portraying a strong and mysterious character, Ritika is eager for audiences to experience the action-packed, adventurous journey.
About Her Role
My first film was Ashokavanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam. when I was looking for a meaningful role, Mirai came along. It’s a wonderful story, and I instantly connected with my character. We worked very hard to bring it to life, and I am thrilled to finally present it to the audience. I play a strong monk character living in the Himalayas. I won’t reveal too much, but the action-adventure aspect of Mirai promises a unique experience for viewers. Nearly 80% of the film was shot in live locations, which was a huge challenge but also extremely rewarding.
Working with Co-Stars and Director
Teja Sajja is incredibly professional and sweet. Despite facing injuries and health issues during the shoot, his dedication never wavered. I learned a lot from him. Manchu Manoj plays a very powerful character, but off-screen, he is fun and down-to-earth. Working with Jagapathi Babu and Shriya was a true pleasure.
Director Karthik is a visionary. His clarity on set and creative approach helped shape Mirai into a wonderful film. It was a great learning experience to work under his direction.

Aspirations and Inspirations
I’m open to all kinds of meaningful roles that offer scope for performance. I especially love superhero movies. Hanuman is my favorite film. Action and romance are my favorite genres. Regarding inspiration, Sai Pallavi is my favorite heroine. I was completely hooked after watching Fidaa. She inspires me a lot.
Upcoming Projects
I’m working on a film with Varun Tej and have several other projects lined up. The makers will announce them soon.
