Saiee Manjrekar joins the cast of Major

Saiee Manjrekar, daughter of popular actor and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, has bagged another Telugu film. She will play one of the female leads in Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ being directed by Sasikiran Tikka.

She will join the shoot next month. Adivi Sesh tweeted, “an amazing role with intensity & innocence in equal measure. She joins the film Late Oct.”

Saiee is debuting in Tollywood opposite Varun Tej in his current boxing drama. The film’s shoot was stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak. She debuted in Bollywood in Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’.

‘Major’ is a biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who led a commando operation in Hotel Taj Mahal to flush out terrorists. Adivi Sesh essaying the role of Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Sony Pictures is bankrolling the project in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment banner.
