Shankar signs a budget contract for 'Bharateeyudu 2'?

The ‘2.0’ nightmare is still fresh in the minds of trade pundits. The magnum opus was supposedly made on a budget of more than Rs 450 Cr but its collections were not optimum. 

The star director launched ‘Indian 2’ aka ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ with Kamal Haasan as the hero a few months ago. It was shot for a while but was halted.

Since Shankar is known for spending money as per his whims and fancies, his ‘Indian 2’ producers are understandably jittery. They are scared that the budget of the sequel to ‘Indian’ (‘Bharateeyudu’) might shoot up. So, they have made the classy filmmaker sign up a budget contract. As per his, Shankar has given it in writing that he won’t exceed the pre-determined figure. That’s good!
