Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Telangana minister for cinematography, on Tuesday, said that the film shootings may resume in June if corona cases come down drastically in the state. “But we will only take a final decision after assessing the situation. We will also hold a meeting with the Andhra Pradesh government before coming to that decision. We are hoping that things would come control next month,” he said.
Producers Dil Raju, C Kalyan, and other filmmakers were also present at the press meet.
A group of TV serial producers recently appealed to Talasani to allow the shootings as the channels are running out of programs. He also informed the media that the Telangana government will come up with the best policy soon to boost the growth of the movie industry further.
“We already had several discussions with the industry bigwigs but due to the corona crisis, we didn’t announce our policy. After the lockdown is lifted, we will announce it,” he stressed.
Big films like “RRR”, Prabha’s new film, and Chiranjeevi’s “Acharya” are hoping to resume shootings shortly to meet their deadline.
