Director Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi is facing gender bias!
This discussion is going on in the social media. The recently released Balakrishna starrer Gauthamiputra Satkarni got tax exemptions from both Telangana and AP government, but a film on Kakatiya ruler Rudhramadevi failed to get any exemption from Andhra Pradesh government. It received only from Telangana government. Gunasekhar even wrote to the authorities, but has recieved no response so far.
One poster read that way back in 13th century Rudramadevi faced gender bias, and even her film seems to be facing the same. Some say that Balayya was able to get exemption as he is AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s brother-in-law.
