Sree Vishnu reveals ‘Vishnu Vinyasam’ was leaked before release

Sree Vishnu revealed that “Vishnu Vinyasam” was leaked months before release and the team was subjected to blackmail, but swift action helped them contain the damage and bring the film to theatres.

Directed by Yadunath Maruthi Rao and produced by Sumanth Naidu G under Sri Subramanyeswara Cinemas, the film stars Nayan Sarika as the female lead. Released worldwide on February 27, the film receieved decent openings, prompting the team to host a success press meet.

Speaking at the event, Sree Vishnu said the film received a very positive response from families and youth from the very first show. “I always make films keeping families and young audiences in mind. The response from the first and second shows itself was overwhelming,” he stated.

Explaining the hurried release, he said the entire film was leaked in December. “We don’t know how it happened, but after leaking it, they blackmailed our producer. This continued till the day before release. We had no option but to act fast,” he revealed.

He added that the team worked relentlessly to prevent the pirated version from spreading. “We worked day and night without a break to control the situation. The leak happened from Chennai. We have filed a police complaint. Our producers have taken a very strong stand,” he said.
