Sreeleela’s career poised for a turn with this period role

Over the past three years, Sreeleela has endured a challenging phase, with several of her films failing to make an impact at the box office, the latest being “Mass Jathara.”

While it’s unfair to blame a heroine for a film’s failure, many have observed that her roles have become increasingly repetitive, often offering little scope for performance.

Now, Sreeleela is determined to change that perception.

Her upcoming film, Parashakti, which is also her Tamil debut, is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara, known for “Guru” and “Aakasam Nee Haddura.” Set in a period backdrop, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, with Sreeleela playing the female protagonist opposite him.

Industry insiders believe “Parashakti” could mark a significant turning point in Sreeleela’s career, giving her the opportunity to prove her range as a performer beyond her familiar glamorous image.
