SSMB29: What’s team planning for Mahesh Babu’s birthday?

Superstar Mahesh Babu turns 50 in three days. He will celebrate his milestone birthday on August 9. The handsome actor is currently working on director SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film, SSMB29, a globe-trotting adventure thriller. The shoot began in January this year, with the team already completing some key episodes and a song.

Starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, this untitled film — currently referred to as #SSMB29 — is among the most-awaited and biggest Indian movies in production. However, unlike Rajamouli’s usual style, his team has not made any official announcement or update about the film so far.

Naturally, fans are expecting at least a poster or a video glimpse to be unveiled on Mahesh Babu’s birthday, August 9.

But sources close to the team tell us that nothing of that sort is planned. Rajamouli has not prepared any promotional material for release on the actor’s birthday. He reportedly feels the film has a long way to go, with a possible release window in 2028. Hence, it is still too early to kick off promotions.
