Director Sukumar heaped praise on Ram Charan, stating that his performance in “Peddi” will be more powerful than his acclaimed role in “Rangasthalam.”
Speaking at the Peddi release date announcement event, Sukumar said that when he watched the climax of Uppena, he realized that director Buchi Babu Sana has the ability to handle any genre. He added that Buchi Babu has written an excellent script for “Peddi,” striking a rare balance between strong emotional depth and commercial appeal.
He noted that achieving such a balance usually comes with experience, and said Peddi offers a unique emotional-commercial rollercoaster that hasn’t been seen in recent times. Sukumar also praised the film’s songs and visuals, calling them “next level,” and lauded cinematographer R. Rathnavelu for presenting Ram Charan in a spectacular manner.
Talking about Charan’s performance, Sukumar said he was left speechless after watching him dance with such energy, adding that his performance in “Peddi” will surpass “Rangasthalam” and reach a whole new level.
“Peddi” is slated for release on June 4 in five languages, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, with a wide Hindi release planned through Jio Studios.
