Popular TV anchor Suma and her actor-husband, Rajeev Kanakala, have volunteered to do something for the flood-ravaged Kerala. Recently, they read a news report about a family health center in Alleppey’s Kunnumma being damaged totally. Moved by the plight, they decided to contribute money towards its rebuilding.
They contacted the local administration, which has promised them all cooperation in carrying out the rebuilding activities. “We thank Sub-Collector Krishna Teja for the prompt response. We are happy to do out small bit for Kerala,” the couple have said in a video statement.
“We thank them wholeheartedly and hope that their generous act inspires many more to support us!” the organization through which the Suma-Kanakala duo are working has stated.
