Summer or July 2021: Rajamouli's dilemma!

Is Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ going to be pushed further and further? As the economy hit rock-bottom and the recession is likely to be ended anytime soon, all Hollywood films are postponing their tentpole movies. Rajamouli too is said to be contemplating postponing the movie to either summer 2021 or July 2021.

If the economy doesn’t improve, he may even announce the new release date as July 30, 2021. The film was originally planned as July 30, 2020 release but it has been pushed to January 8, 2021, due to delay in production. Now with the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent lockdown, the film is looking at the summer 2021 release. But don’t be surprised if it moves to July 30, 2021, either.

‘RRR’ features NTR and Ram Charan as the freedom warriors. The film is being produced by DVV Danayya. Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt are part of the film’s lead cast.
