Taapsee Pannu has opened up about why she significantly reduced her activity on social media platforms. According to the actress, constantly keeping up with online trends felt like running a marathon, and she eventually decided to focus more on her personal life rather than seeking validation from social media users.
Speaking about her decision, Taapsee said that social media had become exhausting and that she preferred spending time on things that mattered to her personally.
The actress, who divides her time between India and Denmark, where she lives with her husband, also spoke about the challenges faced by women in the film industry as they grow older.
Taapsee lamented that many filmmakers become reluctant to cast actresses in romantic roles once they cross their thirties. She pointed out the double standards that exist in the industry, noting that male actors continue to play romantic leads regardless of age, while women often face limitations.
“Male actors don’t face the problem of age when it comes to romantic roles, but women do,” she said.
