Team: ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ is rooted in mythology

A recent controversy erupted after members of the Mudiraj community in Telangana criticized the makers of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” alleging that the film is inspired by their community hero Panduga Sayanna but fails to acknowledge him. However, the film’s team has indirectly clarified that the story is not based on Sayanna.

Originally helmed by director Krish, the film underwent significant changes after he exited the project. Director Jyothi Krishna, who took over, reportedly reworked the script entirely. Under his direction, the protagonist—played by Pawan Kalyan—was shaped as a divine embodiment of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

“The very title Hari (Vishnu) Hara (Shiva) Veera Mallu reflects the film’s spiritual essence,” a source close to the team explained.
“To enhance this mythological dimension, the filmmakers incorporated symbolic elements—like the eagle representing Garuda, the mount of Vishnu, and the Damarukam (drum) associated with Lord Shiva. The character is designed as a divine manifestation, fighting to uphold Dharma.”

With this clarification, the makers hope to put the speculation to rest.

Presented by A.M. Rathnam and produced by A. Dayakar Rao, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” is set for a grand theatrical release on July 24th.
