Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashi Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty starrer “Telusu Kada” has completed its theatrical run within 10 days of release. The film, which hit screens on October 17, turned out to be a huge flop at the box office.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory and directed by stylist-turned-filmmaker Neeraja Kona, the film was made on a budget of around Rs 35–40 crore. It was released on a commission basis by the producer himself.
“Telusu Kada” managed to recover about Rs 15 crore from its non-theatrical deals. To be considered a safe venture, it needed to earn at least Rs 25 crore from theatrical revenue. However, Telusu Kada grossed only Rs 10.50 crore in India and an additional Rs 4.25 crore from North America, taking its total worldwide gross to Rs 15 crore.
From this, the producer’s share stands at approximately Rs 8–8.5 crore, resulting in an estimated loss of around Rs 17 crore.
This film joins Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s earlier release “Jack” in the list of his recent box office disappointments.
