“Thandel” has slowed down at the box office. After registering strong numbers initially, the film has seen a very normal occupancy in the theaters. It is understandable, because this is not a holiday season. Considering this, the film has posted impressive numbers so far.
However, trade pundits were eager to observe the extent of the decline on Monday. All films see a fall in numbers on the first Monday. Only those films that have not experienced significant declines in collections will remain in circulation.
Based on the overall occupancy in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the film successfully passed the crucial Monday test. The hold it maintains is considered good, particularly during a non-festive season.
The movie, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, has been praised for its music and performances. The team is now planning success celebrations with Nagarjuna as the chief guest.
“Thandel,” however, saw a huge decline in collections in the USA. It takes a while for the film to reach the $1 million milestone.
