Thandel shooting progresses at a Pakistan set

“Thandel” is the most expensive film in Naga Chaitanya’s career so far. The producers are investing a huge amount of money, surpassing Naga Chaitanya’s market value, due to their confidence in the universal appeal of the subject and its potential to attract a pan-Indian audience.

The film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti, known for “Karthikeya 2,” and produced by Bunny Vaas and Allu Aravind.

The film is currently being filmed at a specially-built set in BHEL area. The standout feature of the set is the production designer’s meticulous recreation of Pakistan. Naga Chaitanya, portraying a fisherman from Andhra Pradesh, crosses the waters of Pakistan and ends up in jail there, according to the story. The pivotal scenes set in Pakistan are currently being filmed. A large set was constructed in a private location near BHEL, Hyderabad to replicate Pakistan.

Sai Pallavi stars as the heroine in the movie. This is the second film featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi together.
