The examination period and the coronavirus effect in Telangana, and the local body elections in Andhra Pradesh have made people not to look at the movie theaters. Almost all the theaters in AP and Telangana are registering nil collections. ‘Palasa’ in a few centers and ‘Kanulu Kanulanu Dochayante’ in multiplexes, are registering some collections. But it has become a herculean task for the majority of single screens to run the show in such a dull period.
World over, big movies are getting postponed but Tollywood has no such plans. The exhibitors can’t afford to play the movies with no audiences for many days. So, from this month’s end, we will witness a flurry of summer releases.
This summer we will be seeing Nani’s ‘V’, Anushka’s ‘Nishabdham’, Mythri Movies’ ‘Uppena’, Ram’s ‘Red’, Bellamkonda’s ‘Alludu Adhurs’, Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’, Ravi Teja’s ‘Krack’, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’ and Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Love Story’.
