Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ has been facing several issues about the casting and the technicians right from the pre-production stage. Four months after hitting the floors, the film still has not overcome them. The latest problem is that Trisha might opt out of the film. She has been cast opposite Chiranjeevi as the heroine long back but the makers have not yet announced her name officially. Now, she is opting out of it.
She was to join the shoot this week but now the makers have started approaching other actresses after Trisha is not showing interest to act.
The main reason is that when she signed this film, there was no lengthy guest role for another star. Director Koratala has now changed the plans and is trying to rope in Mahesh Babu or Ram Charan for an important character. And there is a room for another big heroine to step in to play opposite this younger star. If Trisha plays opposite Chiranjeevi as his jodi, she will become an ‘aunty’ to the other big heroine who pairs up with Ram Charan (most likely) or Mahesh Babu. This has made her rethink.
So, the makers have now approached the likes of Kajal Aggarwal.
We have to wait for the final confirmation. The team is planning to settle all the issues by this month-end.
‘Acharya’ is being directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Niranjan Reddy and Ram Charan. The plan is to release the movie either on August 14 or for Dussera 2020.
