Toxic, starring Yash, was recently postponed from its original March release to June 4. However, the team is yet to begin full-fledged promotions following the rescheduling.
According to the latest buzz, Yash and the producers are currently focused on closing the film’s OTT deal. Streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have reportedly quoted prices, but the makers are said to be holding out for a better valuation, considering the film’s scale and pan-Indian appeal. The deal is expected to be finalized soon.
Despite the delay in promotions, the team remains committed to releasing the film on June 4 as planned.
The production house KVN Productions is likely to officially announce the promotional roadmap and release strategy once the OTT deal is sealed. Additionally, the team is also waiting for the conclusion of the Tamil Nadu and Kerala elections before making major announcements.
“Toxic” is described as an action-packed gangster drama with a unique twist. Yash will be seen in a dual role, playing both father and son, in a story driven by revenge. The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi.
Set in Goa during a bygone era, the film promises a stylish period backdrop combined with intense action and drama.
