Twitter India has released a report on trending topics in the year 2021. It has made a list of popular hashtags, most-liked tweets, most quoted, and most retweeted ones in each segment. As usual, the Tamil cinema industry dominated the Twitter space in the entertainment category.
The most-liked and most-retweeted post belong to Vijay’s movies – Master and Beast. “Entertainment fans, especially Tamil speaking audiences, make for some of the most passionate audiences on Twitter. This popularity was clear when Vijay (@actorvijay) Tweeted the first look of his much-awaited movie #Beast and fans left no stone unturned in showcasing their excitement. The actor’s popularity made this Tweet the most Retweeted one in entertainment,” Twitter India wrote.
Telugu stars and Telugu films didn’t get to the top list. However, Mahesh Babu’s post of the first look ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ became the most Quote-tweeted one in the entertainment.
Pawan Kalyan’s #VakeelSaab was the fifth popular hashtag in 2021.
