US BO: ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ is top grosser in Vishwak Sen’s career

‘Das Ka Dhamki,’ which premiered on the eve of the Ugadi festival, finished its long weekend run in the United States on a high note. The film grossed more than $300k in its first five days of release.

While Vishwak Sen’s previous films did not gross more than $200,000 in their entire run, ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ grossed more than $300k in its first week alone. As a result, it became Vishwak Sen’s highest-grossing film in the USA. It is a break-even venture for the distributors.

The movie received mostly negative reviews. But it took a huge opening and a steady run. The film, directed by Vishwak Sen himself, failed to maintain the same momentum at the domestic box office.

The heroine in the film was Nivetha Pethuraj. Vishwak Sen’s father Karate Raju produced it.
