US BO: Majili underperforms in second week

Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Majili’ has grossed Rs 50 Cr worldwide in 10 days. This is his career best collection as a solo hero. ‘Majili’ is a blockbuster. And it is still running well in Telugu states. However, the same response has not been reflected in USA market. The Telugu audiences in USA have not shown much enthusiasm for this film as the audiences in Nizam market have done. Generally, Nizam and US market tend to reflect the same as far as love stories and class movies is considered.

‘Majili’ has underperformed in in its second weekend. The movie’s cumulative gross is about $768k. Now, it is doubtful that it would even cross the gross of Naga Chaitanya’s biggest hit in USA. ‘Premam’ collected $820k. To cross the gross of ‘Premam’, ‘Majili’ has to collect another $50k.

‘Majili’ is directed by Shiva Nirvana. It starred Samantha and Divyansha Kaushik as the female lead.
