The first weekend collections of ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagratha’, ‘Dwaraka’ and Gunturodu are not bright. Of the three movies, Raj Tarun starrer ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagratha’ did fare better though those collections didn’t bring smiles to the distributor. In its first weekend, the movie grossed $51,232.
Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Dwaraka’ too under performed at USA box-office. As Vijay’s earlier movie ‘Pelli Choopulu’ was a huge hit in USA, trade expected a minimum of $100 to $150k opening weekend but the movie just grossed $48,335.
On the other hand, Manchu Manoj’s ‘Gunturodu’ fared poor. As expected the movie didn’t cross $3k even. In its opening weekend the movie grossed mere $2,868.
Overall, all three movies didn’t rake in strong openings.
