Vijay Deverakonda who initiated the ‘Middle Class Fund’ to help the middle-class families that suffered financially due to lockdown is a satisfied man. He contributed Rs 25 lakhs to the fund and sought donations from the public to help middle-class families. In a period of over 30 days, he helped 17,723 households across the Telugu states by spending Rs 1.71 Crore.
The fund had received Rs 1.50 crore. Now that lockdown is ending and people are returning to work, he has stopped the fund. “The Middle-Class fund has been put in rest mode. If the need arises, the fund will be reactivated,” he said in a statement.
Vijay Deverakonda won the hearts of thousands of people with this gesture. On the work front, he is now waiting to resume the shooting of Puri Jagannadh’s action drama. The boxing movie has Ananya Pandey as the heroine.
