Director Puri Jagannadh showered lavish praise on his ‘Liger’ star Vijay Deverakonda. In his speech at an event held in Warangal on Sunday, Puri Jagannadh said he had not seen an honest actor like Vijay Deverakonda before.
“I watched Arjun Reddy upon recommendation of my wife. Forty-five minutes after watching the film, I pressed the pause button and kept thinking about Vijay’s honest acting,” Puri recalled.
He also said Vijay Deverakonda is a true hero in real life. “When we used to send me a Crore of rupee or two as part of his remuneration, he would not take them. He would rather ask to clear the debts we have first. Is there any other actor who will do this? He is a hero off the screen as well,” he mentioned.
Puri Jagannadh said Vijay Deverakonda’s father is a good friend to him. “Vijay’s father asked us to treat Vijay like my son. But Vijay Deverakonda treated me like his father and gave me immense love. Love you, Vijay,” he turned emotional in his speech.
