Director Sukumar is enjoying the success of ‘Pushpa The Rise’ as it became the biggest opening movie of the year in Indian cinema. The action drama starring Allu Arjun is running to packed houses.
Interacting with the media, Sukumar has confirmed that the regular shoot of the second part of ‘Pushpa’ will begin in February or March. “We may release the second part for Dasara 2022 or December 2022,” he mentioned.
Last year, he had announced a film with Vijay Deverakonda. It is scheduled to begin in January 2022. “Vijay Deverakonda’s film will go to the floors. But I can only start it after the release of the second part of Pushpa 2,” he said.
Vijay Deverakonda will have to line up two more projects before taking up Sukumar’s movie in 2023. The ‘Arjun Reddy’ star is currently acting in director Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Liger’, which will be completed in a month. ‘Liger’ is scheduled to hit the theaters in August 2022.
