Was NTR paid more than Hrithik Roshan?

Hrithik Roshan is widely regarded as one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, with a strong global fan base and a proven box office pull both in India and overseas. As the lead face of the “War” franchise, he commands massive star power.

However, it comes as a surprise that Hrithik reportedly accepted a lower paycheck than NTR for “War 2.” The much-awaited action-adventure film, slated for release on August 14, marks the first time both stars share screen space.

According to reports, Hrithik Roshan was paid around Rs 50 crore, while NTR received a remuneration of Rs 60 crore—Rs 10 crore more than the Bollywood A-lister. This unexpected move has raised many eyebrows in the industry.

“War 2” also marks NTR’s debut in Bollywood. Following the phenomenal global success of “RRR,” NTR’s market value surged, and his box office appeal grew even stronger. His recent film “Devara” also performed well, despite mixed reviews, further solidifying his position.

This newfound global stardom may have prompted producer Aditya Chopra to offer NTR a higher remuneration.
