Jayaprada, Jayasudha, and Sridevi ruled the South Indian film industry in the 1980s. The three women who come into Battala Ramaswamy’s life have the same names. 

Battala Ramaswamy is a villager and sells Sarees for a living. As Lord Rama is his favorite god, he wants to practice monogamy. He marries Jayaprada after falling for at first sight. And destiny has other plans. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, he ties the knot with two other women. They are Jayasudha, Jayaprada’s mentally challenged sister, and Sridevi, a glamour doll of the village. 

‘Rama’swamy now becomes ‘Krishna’swamy! This is what the ‘biopikku’ is all about.

The so-called biopic of Ramaswamy is sordidly outdated. It is a pity that some producers are still investing money in such frumpish stories. Even more tragic is that OTT companies are buying them.

More than the story, it is the hackneyed narration and stale comedy that tests the patience. 

None of the actors including the guy (Altaf Hassan) who played the titular character have a screen presence. Satvika Jay who played the role of Sridevi alone passes the muster.
