Superstar Rajinikanth and director Shankar’s ‘2.0’ has faced a humiliation from the Chinese distributors. The rights of this graphical extravaganza was acquired by Chinese company HY Media. It was planned for July 12 release in more than 50,000 screens. But now, the Chinese distributor has pulled it from the release.
Buzz is that China distributor is not sure of its success. The movie has to collect Rs 175 Cr in China to bring profits to the distributor. With recent Bollywood movies turning out to be big flops, the Chinese distributors are not sure about this movie’s prospects.
The new release date is unclear. It is said that the film’s release has been postponed indefinitely.
‘2.0’ starred Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. It was directed by Shankar.
