2019 shows Ram's real box-office potential

Post the success of ‘Nenu Shailaja’ in 2016, Ram Pothineni was struggling hard to score a hit in his career. The super talented star was not able to deliver hits and all none of his movies broke the barrier of Rs 25 crores. His strength was being massy but he chose to keep doing romantic projects and did films like ‘Hello Guru Prema Kosame’, ‘Unnadi Okkate Zindagi’, and ‘Hyper’.

Some even started writing him off as a star who was not utilizing his potential at all. Ram took a small break and teamed up with Puri Jagannadh who was also looking for a hit in his career. Thus happened ‘iSmart Shankar’. The film was released in July 2019 and became a sensational hit. It was Ram’s first 40-crore movie and showed the trade his real box-office potential. 

How Puri designed Ismart Shankar’s role for Ram made all the difference and the result of the film was a blockbuster. 

The songs, dialogues and Ram’s body language became a rage and brought back star hero status to Ram once again. He is signing films very carefully now and will be seen in a film called ‘RED’ in 2019. More than making a comeback, Ram showed everyone what he is capable of.

All in all, ‘2019’ is a memorable year for Ram. Way to go Ram!
