Aishwarya Rai is returning to South films. She was last seen in a South Indian film in 2010 in Shankar and Rajinikanth’s ‘Robo’. She has now confirmed that she is playing a negative role in her guru Mani Ratnam’s next film based on a Tamil epic novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
“I tell you and confirm that I am doing the film,” Aishwarya told the media when she was in Chennai for an event. She debuted in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Iddaru’ and later did films like ‘Raavan’, and ‘Guru’ under his direction.
The film will feature Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Mohan Babu, and Karthi in the main roles. It is rumored that she will play opposite Mohan Babu in the film.
