“Akhanda,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, was one of the biggest blockbusters in recent times. The second part, “Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam,” began its production recently.
Now, director Boyapati shifted its shooting to Prayagraj, where the Maha Kumbh Mela is going on. “Akhanda 2 begins its shoot at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, capturing the true essence of faith and devotion,” the team announced.
In the film, Balakrishna plays a dual role, and one of them is Aghora. Maha Kumbh Mela, dubbed the largest gathering of humanity in the world, began today. To film those sequences, the team left for Prayagraj. Aghoras attend this Mela in big way.
The film is set for release in September 2025.
