Superstar Rajinikanth recently confirmed that he and Kamal Haasan will be sharing the screen in a film together. The two legendary actors are reuniting after nearly 40 years. However, Rajinikanth also clarified that a director for the project has not been finalized yet.
Initially, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s name was under consideration. But after the underperformance of “Coolie,” which starred Rajinikanth and was directed by Lokesh himself, his name was dropped.
Later, there were reports that young actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan would helm the film.
However, Pradeep Ranganathan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film “Dude” in which he plays the lead role, has denied these reports. He said he is not directing the Rajinikanth–Kamal Haasan project as he is busy with multiple acting commitments.
